Personally I feel the only acceptable time to wear "double denim" is when your carrier is the second piece. The stonewash blue is clean and simple, the dark denim really sleek and sharp. They're fully reversible and look good either way. OH, and they're actually 48% linen, 52% cotton, so VERY supportive and summer-friendly.
Being a wrapper, I'm a fan of the wrap straps. I don't like drowning in padding or bulk and I really appreciated being able to spread the straps easily and achieve fantastic support. The denim is substantial enough to wrap very smoothly and moulds very well. I liked the lightly padded waist - 12 cms wide, it didn't bunch or dig and I think the shorter waist sash (2m end to end) is a clean option for people who don't like excess dangling. The body of the carrier is quite tall (40 cms), and I can see that carrying a child (like a 3-4yo) is absolutely a practical option, especially using the wrap straps to widen the seat.
Conversely, the clever design of the seat (oh hai buttons!) makes this an ideal carrier for small babies- not only can you roll or apron the carrier to shorten the body, but you can tailor the width of the seat by buttoning back the leg padding (28 cms to 45cms) - smart.
The seat darts run nice and deep to help you get that good M-position seat every time.
The fuss-free sleep hood sits smoothly over the body of the carrier and can be anchored with loops situated behind the shoulder straps- more nice, minimalist design. I love this carrier because I can see it getting everyone wearing. It is as easy to care for as your jeans, it blends in and doesn't take great skill to wear comfortably, it has a long span of usefulness with your child (rated to 18kgs)... Win.
As you can see from the dark denim pics, we took this baby on a lengthy hike (about 90 minutes) and not a thing shifted. Completely comfortable with 11kilos of toddler and bread for the ducks... In a FRONT carry. I'm sold. And I'm really interested in trying out a ByKay denim WRAP, too!
Oh, nearly forgot - you can win one- right here: YES! I want to enter this worldwide giveaway!
Just because we like the personal touch and spreading a bit of good karma, your light blue denim carrier is coming to you from Mornington Peninsula Babywearers - my local group of awesome people who like to wear their babies ;) This giveaway is open WORLDWIDE, so share some love and make sure you're in!
Right now, our go to is a Girasol RS, but my other fave is a MT!
ReplyDeleteHomemade MT!
ReplyDeleteMy go to is a MGG hb, but also use my Nati rs for quick ups and recently finding a lot of love for wrapping too!!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is my Ellevill trigreen linen. I love the colours. Its also light and cool for summer and so easy to wrap with.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite carrier is probably my wcmt, but I very much miss my woven wrap.
ReplyDeleteWe love woven wraps!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get a collection before bubs arrives. So far I have a ring sling, an ergo and a woven wrap. The only one I've actually used was the woven wrap (roses), with DD for about half an hour. She's very light, but at almost 8yrs old she's a bit too lanky to wrap comfortably, as she's only about a foot shorter than me!
ReplyDeletethe whole family loves the wovens :) cant complain about a good SSC either ;)
ReplyDeleteLove everything :) from gypsy price whitford at Facebook
ReplyDeleteI love wraps! They tend to provide the most support.
ReplyDeleteWoven wrap
ReplyDeleteSo far I have not been able to afford a good carrier but working soon on trying a few. I definitely want a woven, kinderpack, and mei tai.
ReplyDeleteI would say a mei tai :)
ReplyDeleteMei tai has been my fave so far. Not much luck with my ring sling and too afraid to try a real wrap!
ReplyDeleteI have tried a sleepy wrap, ergo, mei tai, and a woven wrap. So far my favorite is my woven wrap (for my 3mo) I love the Mei Tai for my two year old.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is my mei tai right now. Its just more comfortable than my ring sling and I can keep her on my back
ReplyDeleteI am loving my MT but dd is growing again...
ReplyDeleteI love Mei Tai's, best of both worlds!
ReplyDeleteIt's a close race, but I do believe that a good mei tai is my favorite carrier! :)
ReplyDeleteI love my beco butterfly 2 right now! I need something more summer friendly and more fitted to me though. This looks perfect!
ReplyDelete-Letitia pfinder
I have de vipcarrier. And my didymos is on his way to me!!
ReplyDeleteGreetings marisje van lochem
I've only used a hybrid stretchy wrap so far, and loved it for my little, but now he's not so little i'd love to try something new that would support him well like a Mei Tai or a really gorgeous Woven :)
ReplyDeleteI've tried a stretchy wrap, and I have a smith firm wrap, but I'd love a mei tai, and I'm hoping to get a nice new carrier before the new squish comes in October
ReplyDeleteUp until now, I love my woven wraps.
ReplyDeleteNever had a mei tai before, so I'm very curious what it's like!
I've heard, and read good things about it.
Really do love the look of the entire bykay denim collection.
Looks great on you, wonder what it'll look like on me, lol!
I love my ring sling but my little snug a bug is getting big for it to be comfortable for long periods.
ReplyDeletewoven wraps, (but thats all I've tried.
ReplyDeleteWith my eldest, it was a stretchy and then a ring sling as she got older. With our little bundle, we've tried them all! I love the support of a woven, the flexibility and softness of a stretchy and the convenience of a ring sling. I'm looking forward to trying a mei tai when she's a little older.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to choose a favourite, but as we mostly carry her on the school run, I'd say a ring sling as it's so quick and easy to use. I just came across a ByKay denim ring sling here in the UK but they were sold out - I'd love to try one of these instead.
I've only ever tried a DIY Moby and an Ergo. I love both for different reasons. I'd like to try a woven or a carrier without buckles though.
ReplyDeleteI love my woven wrap but my go to for my lo is my wcmt made especially for my little man, but with another one on the way, it is always good to add another.
ReplyDeleteI love the ease of SSC, but I recently tried my friend's mei tai and really liked it! I would love to win this so I can have one of my own.
ReplyDeleteI currently have an oscha (my first ever wrap) I always thought it would be difficult to wrap until I stumbled upon ur page on facebook. I love my oscha wrap but would love to try something new & exciting for my 4 month old
ReplyDeleteSo far my favourite type of carrier has been the standard woven wrap, specifically in a linen blend and size 7. However, I'm super excited to hear about this denim carrier being a linen blend! If we don't win this give-away, we'll probably buy one :-D
ReplyDeleteHow odd... I don't know why I'm coming up as "unknown" because I *am* logged in to my google account. So my entry doesn't get lost, this is me: https://www.facebook.com/margaretdorraine.bainesturberfield
DeleteI LOVE the adjustable features of this mei tai! I tandem wear my twins and appreciate a wide variety of options, but my boys, who are only 50th% for height, outgrew our mei tai by the time they were ten months old. They still nap when I wear them and the lack of head support on that mei tai caused us to retire it. This mei tai would solve that problem! A hood and adjustable seat! I think I'm in love!
DeleteSSC!
ReplyDeleteHey,
ReplyDeleteI`ve never tried a MT but I`d love to :)
Now we´re using a Slling and the Emaibaby, which is tooo small for my husband (ust like the bondolino) so a MT could be the solution...
My fav carrier right now is my size 6 Uppymama cotton wrap followed closely by my Uppymama ring sling <3
ReplyDeleteMy favorite carrier is a mei tai.
ReplyDeleteI looooove Meitais, sooo much comfier for us bigger girls as the buckles don't dig and the straps don't suffocate us lol!
ReplyDeleteI love my wraps, but have never tried a thin ssc, no library 'round here :-). Would be an amazing chance to try it!
ReplyDeleteI love mei tai. I am borrowing a friends at the moment but would love my own.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite are the SSC's and secondly I like the mei tai's, they are the best of both worlds! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite carrier is a wrap, but I recently found love for mei tai's!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite wrap has always been a woven... I've made a few and purchased one but I've always wanted to try a mei tai! :-) Thank you so much for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI love the mei tai its so easy to just throw on real quick
ReplyDeleteI love Mei Tais!!! I have 3, but this one looks even better than the ones I have!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is my ergo but I'd love to explore wovens :) I've used hugabub and a few ring slings.
ReplyDeleteFor the longest time I thought my favourite carrier was simply my wrap but now I have a wcfb and it's love. I do love the mei Tais I have tried though- seems like the best part of both- easy seat but lovely. & wrappable
ReplyDeleteMy go to carrier lately is my ring sling, so easy!
ReplyDeleteI'm so new to all of this baby carrying, used an ergocarrier until now. Ordered a woven wrap just this week, very exited! Really want this stonewash color to match my favorite pair of jeans. I am saving money for it, but winning would be so cool!!
ReplyDeleteMy FB name is Nathalie van Koert
We're just learning to wrap, and we love our Ergo Xtra (the first carrier we used, from birth) but we keep going back to our ring slings, particularly our new Little Frog Agat in Love merino blend - so soft and cushy!! We'd love to try a mei tai too. Big fans of denim ;)
ReplyDeleteI love our wrapsody breeze. So light!
ReplyDeleteMy go to carrier is a mei tai! I love the ease and versatility and comfort. .. really makes back carries easy! Mine is a Kozy
ReplyDeleteI haven't been babywearing much my toddler hates it, but I loved,my ergo and now I'm trying to master a ring sling before baby #2 gets here.
ReplyDeleteI can't pick a favourite, I love all the carriers :D at the moment though we are digging the mei tai :) I love how it can grow with your baby thanks to rolling/bunching material in the beginning for little ones :) x
ReplyDeleteBaby girl and I are big fans of mei tais! So far it's her favorite way to be carried on my back.
ReplyDeleteI love our Manduca as my hubby will use it as well
ReplyDeleteI love my mei tai. It is sooo comfortable and my daughter LOVES it! I enjoy having free hands. :)
ReplyDeleteMt.
ReplyDeleteMeitai or wrap
ReplyDeleteMy Tula or my zen roses custom dyed
ReplyDeleteRight now our favorite is the toddler Tula!
ReplyDeleteI liked the sleepy wrap the best, although this looks super cute!
ReplyDeleteloving the ergo lately, so quick to clip and go
ReplyDeleteWe love any wrap! We currently have a Beco and a woven. I feel as if I'm always shopping.
ReplyDeleteRight now I carry my 2 y o in a diy sling. It was a baby shower gift and its still going strong. I hope I win because she and I both love for her to be carried and she's going to start getting to big for it. She's only 25lbs so this would be awesome! If I don't win ill be checking out her page come tax time :)
ReplyDeleteI am a newbie to baby wearing and am currently borrowing a Manduca from one of the leaders my local group, Gippsland Baby Wearers. We are overseas and it has been immensely helpful with our airport ventures! I highly recommend the Manduca, but this Mei Tai has caught my attention!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the bykay mei tai. And my only one :) if i ever win another one i would give it to my best friend
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is my SSC- Tula. But it's my only one so I may be biased. :) I borrowed a friends mei tai and fell in love. Maybe we'll win this one?!!? :))
ReplyDeleteMy favorite carrier is a SSC- Tula. ♡♥♡
ReplyDeleteA denim mei tai, thats so cool! And looks quite easy to use which I like simple! Fingers crossed here :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a wrap girl so far, but I've yet to try a Mei Tai :) - Chantelle Ogilvie-Ellis (forgive the pseudonym above - have had trouble changing it!)
ReplyDeleteIn all honesty I cannot give a best carrier favorite carrier as my bubs hated her ergo so I habent had the money to replace it. Ive been looking into meitai's and would love to try one as at three months old weighing seven kilo I think my back could use the help and support of a softer carrier. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity :)
ReplyDeleteHaven't* :)
DeleteI loved the Moby for newborn , but now I'm kinda digging the mei tei!
ReplyDeleteI really like the mei tia!! I have always adored baby carrying and those that do. I did carry my daughter for awhile but she outgrew the carrier/sling and I didn't buy a bigger one for lack of funds. This me around my babe is fifteen months I have attempted to home make a carrier with little success :( but I would love to have a comfortable carrier to tote him he loves being held but my arms gets so tired and switching from hip to hip.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite carrier has always been a ring sling. Quick and easy!
ReplyDeleteWe have an Ergo, which we love but I'm hanging to try some other carriers. The Mei Tai looks fantastic so comfy ♡
ReplyDeleteI love wrapping my little girl atm, hubby uses mei tei. I wear my older boy in a ssc though :)
ReplyDeleteI'm extremely new to babywearing, but I really love the stretchy wrap that I made for my baby!
ReplyDeleteHard to choose, but my SSC gets the most use
ReplyDeleteWe both use the Ergo and I also use an African torso doekie. Love them! But I would love to try a Mei Tai :)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is a SSC for quick uppies. But for superb snugness and pretties too I love my wraps ♥ this looks like best of both worlds
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between my wcmt and my wcrs as to which is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteAll I have so far is a stretchy wrap, but I love it! I've got a cotton gauze wrap on the way for summer now and I plan to make myself a water slight. I'm really interested in getting a carrier like this one though because my husband needs something that he's comfortable wearing and the denim is a perfect option for him!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any carriers but think this one would be a great one to start with!!!
ReplyDeleteMy stretchy was my fav when baby was small. Now we love our ssc, but I would to to love a mei tai :)
ReplyDeleteRight now my favorite is my Oscha liberty lucy woven wrap! Its so comforyable and supportive! And being a newbie to baby wearing with a wrap iv found it amazing! Iv had structured carriers for my first 2 boys but opted for the ergo stretchy and now my fav Oscha woven for little man 3 :)
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI love my wrap and MT, and I'm dying to trya wcmt! Alice Kendrick
ReplyDeleteI have a Moby and an Infantino mei tei. The mei tei is by far my favorite! I love the straps, it's so supportive :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is my half buckle wrap conversion, made by a hungarian seamstress. And I love my Little Frog wowen wraps too. :)
ReplyDeleteI love so much woven wraps, they are so beautiful and versatile, but I also love my ssc :)
ReplyDeleteI love my Bykay denim woven wrap and so does my baby
ReplyDeleteMy favourite kind of wrap is definitely a mei tai. Absolutely love them!
ReplyDeleteI love my ring sling, its my go to carrier. Ive not tried a meitie yet but a in love with the different materials... And my baba is till a bit young for me tovwear him on my back in a woven but im sure ill love it when I do give it a go
ReplyDeleteI LOVE my homemade Mei Tai.
ReplyDeleteWe have a Moby that I dislike... Way too much fabric! I have 2 different SSCs - I prefer the back carrier. I just got a RS and think I will REALLY like using it. Guess we'll see in August. :)
ReplyDeleteLove my handwoven wraps mmm, like cushy heaven. I also enjoy the quick ups of sscariers as well ♥
ReplyDeleteAm very new, so only have a ring sling, but I love it
ReplyDeleteWhat we have here in our country (Philippines) is a SPOC type called Saya. Been using it since my baby SKy was just 2weeks old. Now at 10mos still happily "hugging" my son everywhere we go. Would really want to have a taste of imported baby carrier like that of ByKay mei tei, it looks really comfy and with our weather here perfect that its summer-friendly. Hope I would win one.
ReplyDeleteLove my Diva Milano wrap. It's thin, airy and surprisingly strong.
ReplyDeleteSince a few week i also started using a ringsling an though it wasn't love at first sight, it's starting too bloom.
I mainly use a ssc and ringsling but think a MT is probably the most comfortable. Just need to get the hang of using one :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE Mei Tai's great for my slimmer frame, and easy for dad to use too - his fav carrier by far.
ReplyDeleteI've only tried MobyWrap and Baby Bjorn (gasp, I know, it's evil... insert skull and crossbones here... I didn't know it at the time. :-/
ReplyDeleteRight now my favorite is an imitation Ergo. I really like my Infantino Mei Tai but when I tried the "ergo" My dd fell in love with it. I REALLY want to get a woven wrap eventually.
ReplyDeleteLove this!!!
ReplyDeleteIt depends what I'm doing. Mei Tai for around the house for sure and my ring sling for out and about.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite newborn carrier is a Sleepy Wrap then an Ergo for my 2 year old
ReplyDeleteWe only have experience with an Infantino carrier.
ReplyDeleteI've only tried a woven with my wee dot
ReplyDeleteMy fave is woven wraps and soft structured carrier like kp but yet to try a mei tai
ReplyDeleteI love a mei tai for quick carries and a woven for longer walks. However hubby will only use a mei tai
ReplyDeleteSsc for kanga and daddy wearing. Rs for quick trips but loving woven for extended carry time
ReplyDeleteLove my K'tan for my preemie babies; use a simple kanga cloth for around the house, and really want to try out a mei tai for my new walker who always wants to get up and down! This is Abena, I don't know how to change the name.
ReplyDeleteI love my Vatanai woven wrap for wearing my 7mo around the house for naps and just general closeness. When I go out though, I love my Storchenweige ring sling for the ease of just wearing it while I'm driving and quickly putting bub in with no trouble. I also used an ergo carrier while I was out with my oldest daughter.
ReplyDeleteI have only used a ring sling but am interested in trying other carriers with future kids.
ReplyDeleteI love my woven wrap. I use an ergo for quick carries, but it's well-loved and not as sturdy as I would like.
ReplyDeleteI love my girasol woven wrap, but have never tried a mei tai or ring sling so I couldn't comment on whether I'd prefer those. Would love to try them though!
ReplyDeleteAlira filippone
My
I love my woven wrap!
ReplyDeleteA MT is my favorite type of carrier.. With an easy structure and soft materials, without buckles, it's a great way to babywear
ReplyDeleteStill learning, but loving my stretchy wrap so far.
ReplyDeleteLove my ComfyJoey ! Mandy Smith
ReplyDeleteRight now I have a didymos wrap from my local baby wearing group lending library. I just joined last month. I've only used this wrap, an ergo, a ktan, and a Moby. I like my ergo and the didymos wrap. So I think I'd love a Mei Tei since it's a mix between the two I love. Thanks for the chance to win this!!
ReplyDeleteI currently don't own any carriers. So my favorite would have to be any that would keep my baby happy and us both cool....
ReplyDeletethus far for simplicity and versatility my favorite is my mei tai-however i haven't dipped my toe into wraps.............yet ;)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has colic and we are currently trying out different carriers to see what works best for us. I want to try a woven wrap, but currently the MT a friend lent us is working out really well.
ReplyDeleteI love my woven wraps and used to have a regular mei tai. I can't wait to try one with wrap straps!
ReplyDeleteI love all of my carriers. My wovens are great for cool weather when we go on walks or I'll be wearing for a while. Love my tula for grocery shopping or long trips when I need to get her up and down fast. But right now my Pavo Etini RS is my go to. It's my first pavo and I'm obsessed. Also I love the ease of a ring sling. I will soon be in the market for my first WCMT. I don't have any MT experience but am soooo intrigued. So winning this would satisfy my curiosity. :)
ReplyDeleteRight now my SSC action baby carrier is just because it is easiest. Would love to try a woven wrap or ring sling, but can't afford anymore carriers.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love my toddler tula for my 2 year old and my 2 month old only loves the wrap so far, i have a babyhawk meitai that she likes too but it doesnt look nearly as comfortable as that!
ReplyDeleteBased on this review, I think this is a fantastic option for me. Id be immensely happy to win this. :D
ReplyDeleteI love my ergo and my wraps. Would love to try a mei tai!!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently pregnant with our first baby, so don't have a favourite yet, but I'm planning to try a few different carriers, and see what baby likes best when she's here!
ReplyDeleteWe love our Ergobaby but would also love to try a Mei Tai!
ReplyDeleteWould love to try this Mei Tai
ReplyDeletefor each occasion I use a different carrier. Short walks ssc, long walks wrap, hospital visits ringsling.
ReplyDeleteso I'm new to the world of baby wearing, and I have to say that I really enjoy it. Considering that I've had a reconstruction on my spinal cord it's very hard for me to find a comfortable baby carrier. I have ring slings, wraps, Moby wraps, Ergo, and I keep using the Ergo because it's fast & somewhat comfortable. I've joined a baby wearing group & I'm so excited! They even have a library of great carriers so I know I'll find something. I'd love to try a Mei Tai like this one! It looks so easy & comfortable for you & baby.
ReplyDeleteWhit baby number 2 on the way this would be an awesome thing to win :) I would use it to have my hands free and my baby close to me
ReplyDeleteI first wore an elastic wrap but that did not feel comfortable for me. Right know i use an woven Amazonas wrap and the classic Ergobaby with my 6 month old babyboy an we both love both. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy go to is my maya tie - mei tai with wrap straps in a pretty blue green colourway. It's getting a bit diggy to carry my 3yo though!
ReplyDeleteThese are such pretty carriers. I really like the MT for its ease of use and lower learning curve! And they're a fun option for tandem wearing. But I confess, I'm a wrapper. My go to is my size 2 because I hate having too much fabric and since I'm small it makes a great all-around shorty.
ReplyDeleteI love my.Ergo but I've been wanting to try a mei tai for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI love mei tais. They are my favorite then ring slings.
ReplyDeleteRight now ring sling is my fav. Im new to wrapping so its all i have. Cant waiy to try more :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks so lovely and comfortable. So far I've only tried a wrap, so that would be my favorite but I've been really wanting a mei tai with wrap straps. I wear my daughter at least 3 hours a day if not more. She has hip dysplasia and has to wear a brace 18/24hrs and she's often pretty angry about it, so babywearing has been such a life saver for us. <3
ReplyDeleteWoven wraps!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a very experienced carrier, but i own something similar to the moby wrap and my husband has a baby ergo. It's hard to find things to fit me and I am still learned the different techniques of wrapping.
ReplyDeleteLearning **
DeleteI'm mostly into SSCs these days as my toddler isn't into being wrapped, but I've also never tried a MT so that may be my fave if I win one :)
ReplyDeleteI only have a Moby wrap. I adore it but I want to branch out and try new carriers. I would love to win this!
ReplyDeleteI tend to avoid RSs (still can't figure them out) but I love my BabyHawk, Boba, and woven! Can't forget my Ergo...
ReplyDeletePick one?!?!? Probably my mei tai for now ;)
I love my woven wraps, mei tais, buckles and ring slings. They ALL have their place in my stash (and life.)
ReplyDeleteWith baby getting too big for the ergo I would love to win this! I don't have a favorite, though, all my carriers have their own use.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteRight now I am just making my way around to all different types of carriers. Stretchies, pouches, wraps, mei tais, SSCs. I love wraps and SSCs, and have a HB on the way :)
ReplyDeleteI have used slings and ssc, and prefer ssc. They feel safer lol. I really want to try woven wraps and mei tais though.
ReplyDeleteI prefer SSCs but my husband's hands down favorite are mei tais.
ReplyDelete& my daughter likes slings (for her babies).
I'm a wrapper at heart - so woven wraps win all the way!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite wrap is my Lenny Lamb bamboo/cotton blend woven wrap. I only know and.do.one back carry & am.not very versed in the.lingo or variations yet, but I hope to be! I have an almost 7 year old, a 5 year old, a 3.5 year old and a 20 month old, and I like wearing anyone who needs to be worn. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite wrap is a woven Ellevill, but unfortunately its too warm for the summer, so we use a didymos ringsling for now. :)
ReplyDeleteI love my rs but find he's getting too heavy for me in it now. Enjoying the abc buckle I've borrowed from green bean sling library :)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite with DS1 was mei tais - so comfortable & versatile. http://mummyversion0point1.wordpress.com/2012/09/07/mei-tai-the-babywearing-bomb/. Just had DS2 & some of my MTs are too big to use with him but the Freehand is perfect.
ReplyDeletei mostly love my wraps. size 4 is favorite! but this meitai is coming to me soon (within one week) so maybe i change my mind ;)
ReplyDeleteI used to be a ring sling/moby person but my son is getting 5 big for them. Tried my friend mei tai and looooved it!
ReplyDeleteI am a woven wrap person, however, I cannot afford a good one so I have had to DIY all of the ones I have. I would love to try a MT if I can ever afford one.
ReplyDeleteRing Slings were my favorite for the newborn to about 6 months stage. But now I'm loving my Mei Tai and thinking I need a few more to leave in the car/truck). :-)
ReplyDeleteI've actually never tried a Mei Tai and I'm not sure I can pick one wrap type. I love love love woven wraps. Beautiful jacquard patterns....LOVE! I enjoy our structured carrier for quick trips in and out of the supermarket, and our ring sling for a quick up that is also really pretty. I love them all!! :)
ReplyDeletehave tried a ring, pouch and Ergo. all are ok, but don't love any of them yet. would love to try a woven
ReplyDeleteI am new with all this babywearing things because i am a new mom, i have a rebozo wrap and my baby loves it. I would like to try this denim one, looks awesome and very comfy.
ReplyDeleteI started with a strechty wrap but quickly went to woven wraps. Now I have a ringsling that I LOVE for short distances. For longer distances I still prefer either my ellevil or calin blue, depending on the weather.
ReplyDeleteBut.. I have been looking for a mei tai, because wrapping "in the wild" isn't my strong suit yet. And I think with a mei-tai that would be easier.
Definitely scc and mei tai! :))
ReplyDeleteI use a SSC called Luna and a ring sling, and love them both. Dad uses the SSC also, it's their moment every evening when they go for a walk.
ReplyDeleteP.S. my facebook user is Elena Serban
I am still a beginner :-) but I love handwoven wraps... When i take one, my baby starts to smile, because he knows he will be carried :-)
ReplyDeleteI love wraps, but I reach more my ring sling most often :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE our mei tai but for shorter amounts of time we use our RS with our toddler. We love using our long wrap if our son is going to be in the wrap for a long time without taking him out. We just ordered a size 4 wrap that we hope to use for hip carries and back carries Our Ergo hasn't gotten much love lately...
ReplyDeleteI only have one carrier, a Hug A Bub. I absolutely adore it, but buying Mei Tai was a close second on my list. This one you have reviewed looks fantastic! If i had more money i could so easily fall down the rabbit hole of too many wraps! lol
ReplyDeleteI loved my MT, but sold it, so now I'm mostly a wrap and ring sling girl. My ring sling was my first love though, so it will always be my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI am new to baby wearing, so I have only tried a sling and my SSC. My lo is only 2 weeks so I do not have much experience with either! But so far, the SSC I have (Lilebaby complete) is really comfy! I am anxious to get my hands on a ring sling and a woven wrap as well though!
ReplyDeleteLove woven wraps!
ReplyDeleteMy fav carrier right now is totally a mei tai, with wovens coming a very close second. This carrier looks so comfy! I love a good pair of jeans to begin with.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful review. I'm a big fan of denim and love the fact this one is a linen cotton blend!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite carrier right now would have to be a mei tai. I am very interested in trying out the wrap conversions because they look so comfy.
I'm really not sure what my favorite carrier is at this point. I haven't tried ANY. Baby comes in early July, so I'd like a variety to find something I like and have as my "go-to" I do like the way the Mei Tei looks, I also like the look of the ring sling, but I know DH would never try something like that, he would prefer an actual carrier. Haven't sorted out which kind we will get yet though. :D
ReplyDeletemnmjen@hotmail.com
Love that this is reversible. Super cute! Our favorites is SSC's so far but this would definitely turn me on to mei tais!!
ReplyDeleteI love my wrap, for sure, but I could fall in love with a carrier too :) but at the moment, my one and only wrap is a didymos hoot :)
ReplyDeleteI love my Storch wrap, but with my wiggly toddler and being preggers, my current fave is my mei tai :-)
ReplyDeletelove the denim! I've sworn off mei tais in favour of wrapping though...
ReplyDeleteLove this! It looks super comfortable to wear!
ReplyDeletei love versatility. i love a good medium sized wrap that will fit my toddler and 2month old... as well as my meitai.
ReplyDeleteThis carrier looks awesome! I love the denim look and wrap style straps.
ReplyDeleteWell done!!
ReplyDeleteSupportivness is our most important quality in wovens, but we have to find some ultra-strong MT ;)
ReplyDelete
